Ligretto Fun Run

 

As usual, speed is of essence in Ligretto – you want to shed your cards as fast as you can; in this variant you can place them in ascending and descending order. You distribute your 40 cards in 4 stacks, every player sits at another side of the table. You place one card stack openly as your Ligretto stack, the other three stacks go face-down to the other three sides of the table. “1” opens a discard pile for that color, the next card on the pile must 1 higher or lower than the previous card. Cards come from your own Ligretto stack or one of the three other stacks, that you can search for a suitable card – if you want to play a card from a face-down stack, you must go to it. If someone’s Ligretto stack is empty, the round ends – each of your cards in the middle is worth one point, each card remaining in your Ligretto stack counts -2 points.
