Wallenstein

30 Years War, religious and political interests, German small principalities and foreign powers - a game of Wallenstein comprises two years; a year comprises the action phases Spring, Summer and Autumn and the rest- and scoring phase of Winter. At the start of the year you draw event cards and re-set the corn counter. In the action rounds you display action cards, plan actions, determine turn order, draw one of the possible events and resolve actions. Action options are buildings, gold/crain, supplies or move/conflict. In Winter, you lose grain, there are revolds and you score victory points for principalities and buildings owned by players and for majorities in regions. Conflicts are resolved with the dice tower, and for each number of players there is a set-up template.

This new edition features two expansions: Am Kaiserhof - Armies that fall out of the dice tower at the start of the game turn into courtiers rivaling for the Emperor’S favors. Landsknechte - for use alone or in combination with Am Kaiserhof; if you control a given number of principalities, removes his top card from the Landsknecht stack and take on of the bonuses depicted on the newly revealed card.
