Dream Team

On the same wavelength

On demand is the rapport between team partners, being on the same wavelength, so to say. In Phase One of the game you write down words: All players form teams of two players and sit opposite to each other, with all members of the other teams between them left and right. The starting player draws a card, chooses one of the three topics – for instance In Rio de Janeiro – At a vintner’s– War – and turns over the sand timer. Now all players by themselves write down terms fitting the category/Topic. When the timer has run out, Phase Two starts, the checking of wave lengths. The starting player names a word of which he believes that his partner has written it down. He himself need NOT have the word on his list. When the partner has noted the word, all other players tell if they have the word, too. Then the active team moves the surf board three steps when nobody else has the term, and one step, if others did have the term. When the partner did not write down the word, the surf board is not moved and the team must discard a bonus marker.  All players cross out the term on their lists. This continues with players in turn until only one team has bonus markers left; this team now moves its surf board three steps for each remaining bonus marker. When each player was starting player once, the game ends and the team in the lead wins. Special rules for an uneven number of players are included.

It’s fun! Pure and simple! Including hitting your head because you did not write down a term or because you asked for something much too obvious. A very good and nice idea and the surf boards as markers because of “wavelength” are a cute idea!
