Ships

 

Development of shipping from the Phoenicians to modern times - you build ships, place merchants and control cities. New types ships are developed, represented on the track around the board. Merchants provide commodities that you sell for money. Control of cities enhances your storage capacity and your banking capacity. Depending on the location you have different numbers of actions; there are varying cards for the three eras of Galleys, Sailing Ships and Steam Ships, those cards provide additional actions and advantages. Placement of ships on the track relates to placement of merchants and cities.
