Jubako

50-76 out of 78 double tiles - with two Japanese titbits each - are laid out face-down in relation to the number of players, four of them are turned up. The active player takes one tile from the display or one face-down tile and then puts one of his now three tiles on his 5x5 board - either on two empty squares OR on one empty square and one corresponding to one of the two titbits on the tile OR on one or two tiles from previous rounds, minimum one half must correspond to one of the lower tiles. Then you score for all visible titbits in one of the two varieties of the new tile. If both halves correspond to lower tiles, you score a bonus of five points. If you cannot place a tile, you set one aside and lose one point. When all tiles are used or set aside, you win with most points. Variants for bonus points, using a 4x4 grid or extra tiles.
