44 bird cards show a bird with its name and mating call; you have 4-6 cards in hand in relation to player numbers, set down a pair if you have already one in hand and receive an egg for it. Then all players simultaneously imitate the mating calls of their birds, with the pitch adapted to the birds’ sex. If you think to have identified a corresponding call you slide the card face-down towards the other player. When two cards touch, they are turned up and an egg is earned by both players if the two cards show a male and female of the same name. Both players draw a card to replenish their hands. Two special kinds of birds – Dof with 3 males and females in the deck, and Waven who does not call but wave – introduce some additional difficulty. Even more difficulty can be introduced by using 11 special cards featuring liars, robbers and swindlers but also a peacock of peace.
