A mysterious manuscript has to be found. Clues are to be had from the state library of Venice, Marciana, but you need to find them before the Night Watch arrives.
You cooperate to solve the puzzle and use Book cards with information and Crest cards with puzzles to solve. Book cards are turned up at the start and after solving a puzzle. If a book card shows a crest you take the corresponding crest card and solve the puzzle, necessary information may come in instalments. Puzzle solutions provide three letters and you take the corresponding book card. If the decoration bar on the book card points to a number on the Crest card, you have solved the puzzle and may reveal the book card. If not, you can go on playing, but note the mistake for the final scoring. Tip cards can help in case of a stalemate. For the final scoring you add penalty minutes for used tip cards and wrong answers to the time you took to play and assess your achievement.
