Poseidon

A game within the 18xx family, but with a topic set in ancient Greece. As neither stock markets nor railroads existed in that time in this game 8 nations compete for prestige, fortune and exploration trying to establish the best trade routes. There are no shares, but merchant licenses, their value depends on the current prestige of a nation. Kings take the place of directors, merchant rounds replace stock rounds and exploration rounds stand for operating rounds. Ships replace engines and you use special cards instead of private companies, and instead of a bank pool there is a merchant pool.
