Atiwa

In the Atiwa Range in Ghana live endangered species, and Frit Bats find shelter in the garden of the city headman. You build a community near the Atiwa Range, with houses for families. Seven rounds comprise a work phase of three turns per player, and a maintenance phase. In turn you have a turn of compulsory action – place a piece on a free action slot – and optional fruit bat action. Action slots mostly yield tokens for animals, trees, families, or gold which must be placed on location or terrain cards. Location cards cost trees and gold and feature four slots for houses; terrain cards are free but usually without house slots. Family tokens must be turned over by training tokens, representing knowledge about environment protection and fruit bat usefulness. Fruit bat actions give you trees for re-forestation. In the maintenance phase you resolve 1. Income and pollution markers, 2. Wild animals, trees, fruit, 3. Fruit bats, 4. Feeding, 5. Breeding, 6. Workers and 7. Preparation of next round,. After step 5 of maintenance in round 7 you score gold, cards, supply board, trained families, fruit bats and score penalty points for missing food.
