The Settlers of Catan Seafarers is an expansion for the Game of the Year 1995, offering 16 different scenarios useing components from the basic game. At sea roads turn into shipping lanes and ships, and wool and wood are necessary to build ships. Rules for the different scenarios always demand a specific selection of components and provide different victory conditions. This expansion needs the basic game for play; the German edition has also been re-launched with new graphics to celebrate the 15-year jubilee of the basic game. There is also an extension with material for a 5^th and 6^th player.
