DAS RIFF

Players are fishermen among the colorful coral banks, they must catch fish to breed even more colorful fish according to customer demand. 32 riff cards are placed in 4 rows, the 2 middle rows face down, the ones in front of each player face up. A player can catch fish from a colum where there is one of his boats , the nearer the fish to the player, the less expensive. To breed fish a player needs corals, and occasionally a shark comes in useful. All these goodies from shark to boat and from fish to coral are paid for with worms, usually fresh worm supply comes from 2 color dice, but sometimes pearls can stand in for worms. And at the end of a turn water flows from the riff and is replaced with new cards at the other end of the lay-out.
