Yakatabune Sequence

 

Rivaling master pyrotechnicians launch fireworks on their side of the river; spectators on boats = Yakatabune in the middle of the river provide applause. The display of boats and start fireworks is laid out. A turn comprises five phases: 1) Selecting of a boat and placing a fireworks card underneath, active player 2) Inactive player can use effect of played fireworks card or draw a program card or pass 3) If Yakatabune cards meeting the terms of a program card in the active player’s hand, they are laid out and they have one or more bonus actions 4) Applause – both players score all Yakatabune cards matching the specifications stated in the rules 5) the active player draws a card from his deck. When all five applause markers have been placed or the active player cannot draw a card or there are no more program cards, you add Awe from completed program cards and from Yakatabune cards with applause tokens, and win with most Awe.

In the Sequence variant, you must play your cards in hands from left to right and can only change their order by using red Yakatabune cards, provided by the variant.
