dung balls from the ramp into caves

 

Dung beetles collect food for young dung beetle and roll the food across forests and over hills. Hedgehog Thunderquick wants to play, too, and impersonates a dung ball. Each player has a ramp, three forest floor chips, 1 dung depot and 3 dung balls of the same color. The dung balls are put into the dung depot and cannot roll away. For Hedgehog Thunderquick there is a big gray hedgehog ball. In your turn you let one of your dung balls roll down the ramp onto the forest floor - a cardboard disk with circular cutouts for caves - and try to place the ball in a cave. If you manage to roll all your dung balls into caves you may turn over one of your forest floor chips and place it into one of the caves to close it off. You may at that point also use the special action of the forest chip that you used - either roll an additional dung ball, roll the hedgehog ball or return a ball from one of the caves to its owner. Dung balls that end up outside the forest disc or end up in the forest but outside a cave are taken back und you can re-roll them in your next turn. You may also move the ramp for a better aim at caves, but may not move the ramp nearer to the forest. You can also use the Hedgehog ball to push your own dung ball into a cave or push opposing dung balls off. You can only use the Hedgehog ball when you have at least one dung ball in a cave in the forest. You win, if you are first to place all your forest floor chips in the forest.

Cute, pretty and well-working, you quickly learn how to judge distance, and the little aggravation when your dung ball is dislodged makes it a real thrilling challenge.
