King of the Valley
Queens, knights or farmers - all are looking for a leader; you aspire to the role of king and move across the display of subjects to recruit them. The hill people, taxes collected and strong orders of knights help you win. In a 5x5 valley grid and on a hill display, characters are displayed. From round 2, you can recruit a character from the hill in Phase 1 of your turn, paying for him with gold; in Phase 2 you must move your king in a straight line through the valley to recruit characters; if you recruit a specialist, you must activate their ability and then discard them. If you have, in Phase 3, a set of 5 characters with different influence values, you may claim the kingdom bonus. In Phase 4, you replenish the valley display from the hill display and then the hill from stock; if you cannot completely fill the hill, the game ends at the end of the current round and all score influence, bonuses and gold and you win with most points.
