Kragmortha

Naughty goblins confront Rigor Mortis

Kragmortha is a board game based on "Aye, Dark Overlord"; Goblins somehow feel like stealing the spell books out of the library of the Dark Overlord, also known as Rigor Mortis. Why? Please ask the goblins! To give Rigor Mortis something to do, he is also moved by players and try to catch Goblins, preferably those of the other players, respectively.

Anyhow, at least Rigor Mortis, contrary to his name, does not cause deadly stiffness, but punishes Goblins with "Destructive Glances", which keep Goblins occupied or puts spokes in their wheels - they must stand up in their turn, may only open their hand between third and fourth finger, have their card limit reduced to two, must stick out their tongue all the time, and so on. A turn comprises playing and implementing a movement card and of drawing a card. When a goblin meets another Goblin he pushes him along by one case, in any direction, this can cause some chain-pushing! When a Goblin encounters the Dark Overlord, he incurs the already mentioned "Destructive Glance".

When a Goblin enters a teleport case the top teleport marker is turned over and implemented. When a player has incurred four "Destructive Glances" he is out of the game and the game ends. The game also ends when the last Spell Book card is drawn and the winner is the player with fewest "Destructive Glance" cards.

This is fantasy like a mixed salad - adventure, evil adversary, rivalry among heroes, ah, goblins, a bit of satire, a bit advantages from stolen Spell Books, if you manage to get one. However, Kragmortha is cute, funny and good for a family party game or as an introduction into the fantasy genre.
