PLAYED FOR YOU

Die Arena von Tash-Kalar

Ewiges Eis

Master Mages duel in the arena, in teams or each on their own. Three factions control individual decks of creatures that can be summoned. You place pieces, the so-called helpers, in your color on the board; when their positions result in a pattern depicted on one of your cards the corresponding creature is summoned and you use its effect. Then you discard the card; the creature turns to stone and can be used as part of a new pattern - or revived by the effect of another card and used in combat. In the standard game you complete tasks for points; in the melee mode you destroy opponents and summon Legendary Creatures from their special deck.

„Ewiges Eis“ is the first expansion for Tash-Kalar, it is a player deck that can be used, in the same way as the decks from the core game, as a Mage’s School. There is also a separate score point track provided for “Ewiges Eis”. Some creatures from „Ewiges Eis“ command a so-called Frost effects, sometimes in addition to a normal effect. Frost effects are „frozen“ for later use and you set them down until they are used, they do not become effective during the summoning. You can unfreeze Frost effects before or after any action, and the unfreezing of a Frost effect does not use up an action. You can only have one Frost effect on display at any given time and those effects cannot be shared among team members. Mirror Image and Conversion into Enemy Color are new terms in this expansion.

“Ewiges Eis” provides a challenging and thrilling new school of Mages, the challenge comes from the task to pick the right time for action, that is, unfreezing a Frost effect.
