Escape from New York

Based on the John Carpenter Film from 1982, you are a hero and search the dangerous streets of New York for the president, his briefcase with government papers and a drawing of bridges to escape the city with them without triggering a landmine. You can cooperate or meet your personal goal and escape the city on your own. Heroes’ opponents are the gangs of Manhattan under Duke of New York you want to take up as much of your time limit as he can. Your turn comprises two phases: 1) Hero phase with actions from action cards, including moving the car, marking noise and taking damage; special items can deflect damage. By meeting conditions, you can attain the next hero level; finally, a building is activated if available at your current location. 2) New York phase with interfering with heroes by moving enemies, setting up roadblocks, and turning up time markers. First, you discard an action card of 1x noise and can then implement the next action card or discard it for 1x noise. When the red time marker is revealed, the heroes have lost the game.
