El Grande

As a Spanish Grande you use 30 Caballeros to acquire majorities in regions and to increase your influence at court. Increased influence at court lets you advance on the success track, for pieces and power cards, action cards are valid for all players. Power cards determine turn order, action cards also govern the placement of caballeros on the board. Each of nine rounds comprises revealing of action cards, playing of power cards with bringing caballeros to court and using an action card, then end-of-round and scoring after rounds 3, 6 and 9.

The new edition has been revised for graphics and content; there are additional action cards, variants for two or three players, a variant for experienced players and two mini expansions - Neue Regentschaft providing new options for the play around the king, and Machtverschiebung with changing values of power cards played.
