Frantic Brettspiel

The finish in this board game version of the card game is not the finish you want to reach, but a finish that you want to avoid at any cost while trying at the same time to place others there. A points limit is chosen, the board is prepared with numbered teleport slots, and you are dealt 6, 7 or 8 cards. All place cards of their choice on the board, until all have four cards in hand. In your turn you place a card on the board – only on certain slots in relation to the card color(s) – and resolve the effect; cards already in place are covered; slots with pawns as well as start and finish are taboo for card placement. Then you roll a DD6, advance your pawn accordingly and resolve eventual effects. A round ends when either a pawn has reached the finish, or the draw pile is empty. All note their penalty points in relation to their pawn position. If someone reaches the points limit, you win with fewest points. Card effects relate to pawn movement or taking/playing of cards.
