Not stacking animals by size is the goal here but collecting of sets of four different animals with taking background colors into consideration. You begin with five cards in hand; four cards are laid out. In a turn, you put one of your cards into one of the rows, a card that shows an animal and a color not yet in the row and then draw a card. If you place the fourth animal, you take the set for a victory point. In drawing a card, a robber appears, it is set aside. When all nine robbers are set aside, the game ends and you win with most points. In the Robber variant, each robber must be chased off by players cooperatively by laying out four animals, albeit face-down.
