PLAYED FOR YOU

Groovy Pips

Full House scores three points

You want to win cards showing dice combinations and point values for scoring and you have three rolls in a turn to achieve such a combination. Each player takes a set of 10 cards of one color, and at the start all players choose one card, face-down, from their set, and then all turn the card up simultaneously. In your turn you take five dice and have three rolls. You can set aside and re-roll dice, as you wish, and can decide to stop after each roll. When you are done with rolling you compare the result to the cards in the middle and in your hand. You take all cards showing the combination on your dice and set them aside open-faced. If it would be possible to meet several combinations you dice on one of them and take the cards corresponding to this combination. IF your result does not correspond to any card you must put a card from your hand in the middle. When at the end of a player’s turn no cards are left in the middle, all players choose a card face-down and then reveal it simultaneously again, as you did at the start of the game. When someone played his last card from his hand, all others have one more turn. Then all add their points on the cards they set aside - Triplets score two points, a Full House scores three points, Quadruplets four points and Straights also four points. A quintuplet is called Groovy and scores five points, and of course you win with most points from your cards.

Everything standard and well-known, and yet combined into a nice, quick game in which sometimes it is better to go for cheaper combinations if you can get rid of a card in hand or maybe can win several cards.
