PLAYED FOR YOU

Citrus

Fincas, plantations and harvest workers

As a fruit famer in sunny Spain you want to lay out plantations, harvest good crops and score Fincas.

Plantation market, board with face down landscape tiles and stacks for Fincas and building places are laid out and each player is given his board, six workers and one money marker.

In clockwork directions you take turns to choose from two options: Building or Harvesting, you may not pass! Then special actions due to landscape tile can follow in any order and number.

To build you buy all plantations of a market row and place them immediately - not on rocks and building lots and always another type on each path square or building lot - either next to your own area of the same type or new next to the path lot of a Finca including placing a worker. When you build over landscape tiles you take them for points or later special actions. When you cannot place all plantations you buy you are not allowed to buy! When all lots around a Finca are filled points are scored for players with the most and second-most plantations adjacent to the Finca.

If you harvest, you take your worker back to your board and score points and money for workers on your board; scored plantations are neutral and cannot be expanded. When all plantations have been placed you win with most points after a final scoring of Fincas, plantations and landscape tiles, with the highest score.

In short, you are spending money or earning money, but the how is the wow here! Citrus is an absolutely felicitous game, also fascinating for experienced players, despite easy rules and quick access. A hidden jewel that is worth a lot of attention!
