Byzantium

 

Players are heads of families in Asia Minor and use their ressources to control Arabian and Byzantine troops and to enhance their wealth. Play is in rounds, a round consists of player actions followed by income and maintenance. Actions are taking control of a city, increase army, special actions, tax, building of church or mosque move/attack or pass. Victory points are scored for controlling a city, the office of emperor of caliph or building of a church or monastery and in the final scoring. There are two scales, the player with the best balance between these score scales will win.
