A Few Acres of Snow

A Few Acres of Snow is a simulation of the struggle between Britain and France for control of North America in the 17th and 18th century. Your actions are powered by your cards in your hand and in your deck, each nation has its own location cards and empire cards. Your range of actions is enhanced by discarding cards, as eventually your discard pile becomes your draw pile. Empire cards have many different functions, neutral empire cards can be used by both players, for instance those of the Native Americans. Their cards can be used to ambush or raid your opponents. Possible endings for the game are capturing a certain location or capture a certain number of the opponent’s discs or cubes or if one player can place all his discs and cubes on the board. For the last two endings victory points are scored.
