Diplomacy

 

This game simulation the situation in europe before Word War One, each player represents a country - Austria-Hungary, Germany, England, France, Italy, Russia, Turkey - and tries to obtain 18 centers by means of negotiation and conflicts. Central element of the game are the negotiations, it is equally important to make good deals with possible allies as it is to break these deals when it is convenient. The game is played in years, spring and summer are combined together with army movements, resolving of conflicts and retreats, the same for autumn and winter with the addition of distribution of centers and building or abolishing army units. Possible orders for the units are attack, support, convoy and holding of position.
