Abalone

A game with multiple functions, an art object, black and white marbles on an elegant hexagonal tray. And second an interesting game, demanding thoughtful planning from 2 or three players (coloured expansion sets exist) to push the opponent’s marbles off the board using one’s own marbles. 1,2 or 3 marbles are moved as a group onto free spots, opposing marbles in longitudinal direction are pushed along, either on a free spot or off the board. Marbles going off the board are out of the game.
