Mino Dice

 

Dice instead of cards; there are 36 dice, 30 of them number dice and 6 special dice. You play rounds, draw dice corresponding to the round from the bag and set them behind your screen; then all announce simultaneously how many tricks they will take, this is marked on the score sheet. In a round, you roll one die per trick, the first die determines the color and you must roll the same color; if not possible, another color; special dice can be played anytime. A trick is won by the highest number die, regardless of its color, or by the winning special die according to precedence rules – Minotaur defeats numbers and Griffin, Griffin defeats numbers and Mermaid, Mermaid defeats numbers and Minotaur. When all “tricks” of the round have been played, you score for fulfilled announcements and eventual bonuses for results from Minotaur and Griffin.
