Fantasy Ranch

 

You run a horse ranch in the Western US, buy horses, hire help and expand your land; all in one of three levels of difficulty. Five rounds simulate a season of horse shows; you draft four horse cards and select a ranch tile; in your turn you select one of three actions – buy land, buy horses or run your ranch, plus any number of action options - sell horses, shift horses or swap commodities. If you spend too much, you are in danger of being taken over by a neighbor. Helpers give you additional actions or abilities to meet goals; achieved conditions give bonuses. Tournaments are resolved by rolling dice for horse abilities; trophies are won with sets of horses, real estate, completing of ranches, twist of fate cards and take-overs of other ranches.

The game also features a version playable for children, ages 5+, also featuring three levels of difficulties for participating in shows, raising foals and buying or trading horses.
