In the cooperative Living Card game based on the mechanisms of collectible card games players embody a fellowship of heroes encountering dangerous quests in Middle Earth. The Core set for 2 players contains 226 cards in four starter decks, ready for use in introductory games. There are hero cards, player cards, encounter cards and adventure cards. Khazad-Dûm is the first deluxe expansion and focuses on Der Feind in Osgiliath / The Massing at Osgiliath is a special of 45 cares that was originally played as a scenario at GenCon 2011. The scenario comprises the event from the Massing at Osgiliath Chapter; the heroes must escape the armies of the witch-king and carry the message of the attack to Minas Tirith. The Anduin is considered to be crossed when players reach part 4 of the scenario.
